In every school and district, there are countless moments of dedication that go unseen.
No spotlight.
No announcement.
No applause.
But those quiet moments are the ones that keep our schools moving forward.
Our colleagues do extraordinary things every single day—often without another adult ever noticing. And we never want to take that for granted.
I Don’t Know About the Time…
I don’t know about the time you had something heavy happening at home, and you still showed up because you knew students needed you.
I don’t know about the time you stayed late—long after everyone else left—to help a student, call a family, or prepare for tomorrow.
I don’t know about the time you jumped in to help a colleague who was overwhelmed or facing an emergency.
I don’t know about the time a student came in frustrated or angry, and you chose patience instead of reacting.
I don’t know about the time a parent’s email felt unfair… but you responded with professionalism and poise.
I don’t know about the many times you gave students second and third chances, even when they hadn’t earned them yet.
I don’t know about the time you created an experience—not just an assignment—that made kids feel excited to learn.
I don’t know about all the evenings and weekends you spent giving meaningful feedback because you wanted students to grow.
I don’t know about the morning you were exhausted or stressed, but you still greeted students with warmth and optimism.
I don’t know about the times leadership wasn’t perfect, yet you continued to support the work and the mission of your school.
I don’t know about the quiet, behind-the-scenes act of kindness you did for a student—something only you and that child will ever know about.
I don’t know about the many moments when you pushed through fear, anxiety, or doubt to give your best to kids.
But Here’s What I Do Know
These moments—seen or unseen—shape your school’s culture.
They build trust.
They strengthen relationships.
They change lives.
Every educator contributes to this tapestry of everyday excellence.
Every role matters.
Every act of service counts.
Thank You
Thank you for the remarkable things.
Thank you for the small, ordinary things.
Thank you for the things no one ever sees.
Even when I don’t know about them…
They matter. And so do you.
